An Icelandic ecommerce company has begun using a drone delivery system. The largest marketplace in the country, Aha, has signed a deal with the Israeli drone company Flytrex to begin using the technology. Deliveries by drone are now available in two major areas of the capital city Reykjavik. The company has emphasised that this is not a testing phase, but the introduction of a permanent delivery service. Permission has also been granted by the Icelandic Transport Authority for drones to deliver food around the city, as well as consumer products.
